Broader Public Sector Accountability Act
PFHT is in compliance with the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Accountability Act that regulates broader public sector organizations in the areas of compensation, expenses, perquisites, business documents and procurement. This Act is designed to improve accountability and transparency.
Procurement
Peterborough Family Health Team follows the Ontario Broader Public Sector Supply Chain Code of Ethics to ensure fairness, professionalism, and accountability in purchasing and supply activities.
Goal:
To make sure all purchasing and supply chain activities are ethical, professional, and responsible.
Integrity and Professionalism:
Everyone involved in purchasing must act with honesty and care. They must respect others, protect confidential information, and avoid conflicts of interest. This means no accepting gifts, giving special treatment, or publicly promoting suppliers or products.
Accountability and Transparency:
Purchasing must be fair and open. We use public funds wisely by making responsible and cost-effective choices.
Following the Rules and Improving:
We follow all Ontario and Canadian laws and always look for ways to improve our supply chain practices. We continue learning and sharing the best ways to manage purchasing responsibly.
