City of Peterborough – Brookdale Clinic – Part-Time

A physician located in the north part of the city of Peterborough is seeking a locum in January 2022 for approximately one month. This is a perfect opportunity to see what Peterborough offers during those chilly months! The practice is comprised of patients of varying age and health conditions. Additional details include:

• Roster size: 1,200
• Hours per week: 2-3 days
• Compensation model: blended capitation
• On-call hours: some on-call hours are required – with a large team it is a small commitment
• Expanded opportunities: hospitalist, LTC, etc.
• Position open to new grads
• Interprofessional healthcare provider support: in-house mental health clinicians, registered dietitians and off-site pharmacy support
• EMR: PS Suites

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from accredited institute
• CCFP certification or equivalent practical experience is an asset
• General license to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario
• Membership in the Ontario Medical Association and Canadian Medical Protective Association

Peterborough Family Health Team

The Peterborough Family Health Team (FHT) was created at the turn of the century to support the traditional family practice and bolster the care patients received. The FHT incorporates interprofessional healthcare providers, such as nurse practitioners, mental health clinicians, pharmacists, registered dietitians, registered nurses/registered practical nurses, and a physician assistant. Many great programs, services, and workshops offered by the FHT support the health and well-being of patients and residents within the city and county of Peterborough.

Peterborough Family Health Team supports five family health organizations and the Partners in Pregnancy Clinic (PIPC).
