Spotlight on Virtual Care Clinic

Peterborough Family Health Team and the Virtual Care Clinic were in the news through an interview with Lori Richey, Executive Director. The media coverage was as a result of City Council tabling a motion to support the ask for continued funding, which came as a result of a request for a letter of support. The Peterborough Examiner reported that Councillor Henry Clarke wants council to consider asking the provincial government for an additional $350,000 of annual ongoing funding to try to help local patients who lack a doctor. The Peterborough Virtual Care Clinic, which will see its provincial funding end in March 2020, is one clinic that would benefit from the funding. Read the full article.
